So without much wait, let’s jump into the discussion now.

Question: Hi Ammar, welcome to GROWBLOGGING. Could you please share a bit about yourself?

Ammar: Thanks for having me here Manidipa and letting me sharing my experience and views on blogging.

For those who don’t know me, My name is Ammar. I’m running AllBloggingTips which was started back in 2011 when I was in high school.

Question: How did you think to start your first professional blog? How many blogs do you run actively?

Ammar: Building my own website had been on my mind when I got internet. Before starting ABT, I used to spend lots of time on web development, playing around with blogspot and WordPress. The first website I created was with Weebly which is one of the most popular free website builder tool.

I decided to start my own blog and share what I’m learning so far. At this time, I’ve two blogs, one is AllBloggingTips and the other one is Ammar Ali which I just launched on my 21th birthday.

Question: Being a student, how do you manage your daily blogging routine?

Ammar: I know how hard it is to manage studies along with blogging. I used to spend three hours per day during my college days and more than 8 hours on weekends. That’s how I was able to answer emails, do research for my next posts and reply to comments.

I’m just done with my graduation exams so I’ve much more time than before to focus more on my blog which was bit inactive due to my studies.

Question: What are the strengths you think have helped you to become a better blogger? Do you wish to learn any new skill that you think will help you further?

Ammar: Being keen towards learning new things is what made me a better blogger. I started out as a front-end web developer with skills of CSS, HTML and WordPress. With the passage of time, I’ve got some good skills. The only one I’d love to learn more is how to improve communication skills because it’s one of the life skills everyone should master.

Question: What are some of the proven traffic generation techniques for your blog/blogs? Please provide some suggestions how one can drive traffic to their newly started blog?

Ammar: My main source of traffic is search engine. Some of my blog posts are ranking high in Google which are bringing in good number of visitors daily.

There are many good ways which can give a newly started blog instant boost in traffic and visitors but for that your content need to be exceptionally good to make it stand out from the crowd.

Create a good content, find your influencers and be friend with them, share their content, leave a comment on their blog posts and engage with them on social media. Once they start noticing you, the chances of getting them to share your blog post will increase.

Keep in mind that if you want to get traffic quickly, your influencers are going to help you if you do your homework because their traffic is your traffic. If someone is enjoying their content chances are they would love to check out yours as well.

Question: Ammar, according to you, what are the upcoming SEO trends and which ones do you follow for your own blog/s?

Ammar: Going is moving to semantic search results. The latest one is rich snippet feature of Google which will show result that are more likely to be close to search query.

So, I write content that is very close to exactly what people are searching for. A part from that, Backlinks plays an important rule.

Question: How important it is for you to remain active on social media?

Ammar: It’s very important for everyone including me to be active on social media because people spend most of their time on the social media sites than any other website.

So your chances of getting them engaged to read your posts or any updates from your social media profiles will be only possible if you are posting regular updates and staying active.

Question: Many people start blogging to make money online but discontinue after being not able meet the expectations. What according to you are the common reasons of failure?

Ammar: The most common reason for the failure is patience.

The first mistake any newbie makes is starting a blog on wrong niche or a niche in which they have no idea what they are talking about. Another thing is they are not patient. Blogging is a slow process. It can take few months to even years to build an authority (depending on your niche)

They expect to get traffic quickly that will bring in good cash and when their expectations doesn’t come true they simply quit.

Question: What are some of the early blogging mistakes or challenges you have faced?

Ammar: The first mistake I made was choosing the wrong web hosting. My site was down every next day. It got suspended over and over due to high resource uses. And I have learned that choosing the right hosting provider is of utmost importance.

As a newbie I faced challenge to improve my writing skills as English isn’t my first language. Grammar mistakes used to get people leave some nice comments on my blog posts.

Question: There are many monetization techniques for the bloggers & online marketers. Ammar, which ones do you think are best for any beginner to start with?

Ammar: The easiest monetization technique is joining advertisement programs. The most popular one Is AdSense. So, if you’ve a good blog no one can stop you from getting AdSense account approve.

Question: Knowing the uncertainties of the monetary aspect of blogging, do you wish to become a fulltime blogger? Or do you have any other plans after you complete your studies?

Ammar: I don’t call myself a professional bloggers like other. I’m still an undergraduate student so getting into fulltime blogging is something I need to decide after I complete the studies.

Question: What do you like to do when you are not in front of the screen?

Ammar: If I’m not in front of screen I’d usually be spending time with my family that’s what I do. I don’t take breaks often.

Question: So far, which is the most awesome moment in your blogging journey?

Ammar: There are many, the first one was when I got mentioned in a blog as “Young emerging Pakistani blogger”. I can’t describe how much happy I was when I saw my name, picture and blog getting featured.

Question: What are your next plans with AllBloggingTips?

Ammar: Nothing special but I’m focusing more on getting some good content to my audience.

Question: Please share some tips for the newbies in blogging who are recently getting started.

Ammar: The only advice I’d give to a newbie is “be patient”. Everything takes time. Something you want won’t happen overnight or within a week. It can take anywhere from months to years to get what exactly you want. Keep learning new things everyday and never stop. Improve your skills and learn some basics including SEO, content marketing and writing skills.

Don’t just jump into blogging to make money. You’d be disappointed if you don’t earn some bucks earlier.
